Using those double pointed needles for my great uncle Angus doll was a pain. Now I have some circular needles. Much easier. But as usual I’ve moved onto something else, a new project! So uncle Angus will have to wait. Hopefully it won’t be for long.

start of uncle angus
This doesn’t look like much right now but this is going to be Great Uncle Angus. Remember I mentioned him. He’s from Jean Greenhowe’s MacScarecrow Clan. But do you notice something, a problem I ran into?

I needed needle size US 2 for him and the only 2s I have are double pointed. They aren’t very big and so the stitches are falling off the ends. I guess I could use another needle and knit with three needles but what a pain. I will have to get some new 2s. I wish I had thought of that when I was at the yarn store.

Yarn Came In

I ordered some yarn and it came in. Some yarn…ok lots of yarn. I plan to make Great Uncle Angus from Jean Greenhowe’s MacScarecrow Clan. It would be nice to have the whole family. I say plan because I bounce from project to project so who knows when I’ll get them done.

Scamp came from the same book. Which reminds me. I really must ask my friend if she has another Jean Greenhowe book. She got the MacScarecrow Clan when she went back to England to visit her family. I think she also has the Mascot Dolls. I really want a little policeman or a bobby I think is what they’re called. Oh so exciting. Excited for projects that are yet to be.
