Silly parent #37, water everywhere but not a drop to drink
Today’s daily comic is for the silly parent series. You would think I would know better than to let Isabelle play with water, ice water at that, especially with the cold weather. But you know, secretly I wanted to see the cups change color. :)

Silly parent #36, NOT sharing ice cream
I was in the mood for ice cream. And the last time we had ice cream I shared with Isabelle. A lick for me. A lick for Isabelle. “Mama’s turn, Isabelle’s turn, mama’s turn, Isabelle’s turn.” Then I had this brilliant idea! Instead of sharing one ice cream cone why not have a whole ice cream to MYSELF and Isabelle could have her own. Great idea, right? I thought so. Well….not so much.

Isabelle ended up with both of the cones and wouldn’t give me any! No sharing with mama!! That’s what I get for being greedy and wanting a whole ice cream to myself.

I actually have video of it. I’ll have to post it when I ummm find my cord.

drawing of me teaching Isabelle the word sucker
How many times has she said sucker since I uttered it oh so quietly? Ummm…I think 3 times. Whenever I relay that story she jubilantly yells it with arms raised.

Drawing of Isabelle's crazy hair
Did anyone notice Isabelle’s crazy hair from the pictures at the beach? When we got her out of the car she had pulled one rubberband off. We didn’t fix it because we were in a rush to meet Olinda. When we got down to Olinda, Alan put the other side up. Everyone was laughing because it was all crazy, one side higher than the other. I saw but didn’t fix it. Then I forgot all about it. I didn’t really notice until I looked at the beach pictures again. Do you think that’s why everyone was looking at her and smiling?

Well, fie on the toilet! It’s made slaves of you all! I’ve seen it sitting in there, lazy, slothful, porcelain layabout feeding on other people’s doo-doos while contributing nothing of its own to society!

Ha ha ha! That got your attention didn’t it? As I was drawing this I was watching Family Guy. That was something Stewie said and I thought it was a good start to this post. :)

Was I wet?

Yes I was.

Did I wet myself?

Well I did let it happen.

Here is the rest of the drawing.

Isabelle took a cup of water from the table. I saw her and did not stop her. She came towards me banging it against a bowl, splashing little trickles onto the floor. I saw her and did not stop her. She stood in front of me sticking her little hands into the cup of water. I did not stop her. Surprise, surprise or I should say no surprise, a few seconds later she tipped it all onto my lap.
