Why is it that…

when I finally get Nathan to sleep.

When I am creeping out.

And I am victorious in my quietude (is that a word?).

I trip on some loud obnoxious plastic toy.

Or some telemarketer decides to call. I am usually pleasant to them but tonight…I said, “I’m not interested in calling the Philippines and my baby is sleeping. GOODBYE!” And I hung up without letting her get a word in edgewise. And wouldn’t you know it. My great plan to have Nathan sleep through the night without his usual nap was foiled. Hello midnight. It’s like Murphy’s Law except it’s Sleeping Baby’s Law. Sigh.
