New Year, New Haircut

I was going to come on here on the first day of the new year to share a video of the kids dancing. But I cannot find my camera cord. 
And then I got caught up doing a backup of all my pictures, which I haven’t done since June of last year. How come backing up is so hard for me?!
Well, since I still cannot find my camera cord I will share pictures of a new haircut instead. But it’s not my new haircut. It’s Nathan’s! His hair was getting a little long and we didn’t want to put it in barrettes. Alan was going to do another trim but I said let’s buzz it so he could look just like daddy.
Buzz!

And then he tried to escape.
Daddy wasn’t going fast enough for Nathan’s wandering ways so I took over.
Then Isabelle wanted to get her picture taken.
I don’t think Nathan much liked getting his hair cut.
And now Alan says Nathan looks like a little old Asian man.
He does look different. I think it’s too short. I wanted it to look more like Alan. Maybe he just doesn’t have enough hair for it to look like Alan’s. I think I liked it better before.
Awww he looks precious. The first time I cut Lil Man’s hair I freaked because it was shorter than I expected it to be. I then realized that since baby’s hair is finer you should use a larger guard so it doesn’t cut so close. I do Lil Man’s with a #4 blade in the winter so he has some hair to keep his head warm then I reduce to a #2 in the summer so he will be cool. Next time you cut Nathan’s try going the next size up. If you used #4 this time, use #6 next time. It will leave it a bit longer and more likely to achieve the look you are wanting.
At any rate … Nathan is just plumb cute. I like the way big sister wanted to get in on the event by having her picture taken too

I think he looks cute. Besides it will grow grow grow before you know it. You’ll be like me soon and cut it too short on purpose so you can have LESS haircuts!
