New Year, New Haircut

I was going to come on here on the first day of the new year to share a video of the kids dancing. But I cannot find my camera cord. :( And then I got caught up doing a backup of all my pictures, which I haven’t done since June of last year. How come backing up is so hard for me?!

Well, since I still cannot find my camera cord I will share pictures of a new haircut instead. But it’s not my new haircut. It’s Nathan’s! His hair was getting a little long and we didn’t want to put it in barrettes. Alan was going to do another trim but I said let’s buzz it so he could look just like daddy.

Buzz!
Buzz!

What was that?
What was that?

Trying to escape
And then he tried to escape.

Mommy finishes because daddy didn't want to push on his head too hard
Daddy wasn’t going fast enough for Nathan’s wandering ways so I took over.

Then Isabelle wanted to get her picture taken.
Silly, wanted to get her picture taken too
Silly
Silly

Not convinced about this haircut thing
I don’t think Nathan much liked getting his hair cut.

New Haircut
And now Alan says Nathan looks like a little old Asian man.

He does look different. I think it’s too short. I wanted it to look more like Alan. Maybe he just doesn’t have enough hair for it to look like Alan’s. I think I liked it better before.

My Little Gamer

I’ve found my camera cord!! But I’m busy finishing a photo book for Alan that should have been done for Christmas. CHRISTMAS! I make a photo book for Alan every Christmas and this past Christmas I just could not get it together to finish it on time. He was very disappointed. He was quite looking forward to his yearly photo book.

But I digress. I am very easily distracted. I came on super quick to share these photos.

As I was backing up over 700 photos from June, photos that I meant to blog about, I realized there were so many moments I missed talking about and never got around to. Now they’re just gone. So, I’m trying to put the little tiny things on here again. So I can look back and read about all those moments I will surely otherwise forget.

This is one of those moments.

Nathan’s going to be a little gamer. Yep. When Alan is playing one of his games, Nathan will come running over. Well, run is a little ambitious, it’s more of a very fast walk. He’ll make that, “enh, enh” pick me up noise and shift restlessly from foot to foot. Pick me up daddy, I want to watch you play! Then he’ll sit there for a bit and do just that, watch Alan play. I like how his little hands are on the keyboard.

Or sometimes when I’m sitting on the floor, he’ll come over with the Wii remote and put it into my hands. I take it that he wants to watch us play that. :-D My funny little guy.

Oh and yes this was before his haircut. No, his hair grows THAT fast. *wink, wink*

At this age, Isabelle was already dancing around. Nathan took a little longer to get his groove on but look, dancing!! He will spontaneously break into dance when he hears music. Like here, the credits playing at the end of some movie made him go. And look at him go!

And of course big sister, Isabelle, had to join in. :)

Food on a Stick. A Lollipop. A First

The other day, Isabelle asked for a lollipop. One of those Wilton melt and pour lollipops. She requested yellow flavor (vanilla). And as I was making one for her, she asked me to make one for Nathan as well. You know, the whole sharing thing. :) So, I did.

What's this?
What’s this? Yes. He did not know what it was.

Bang bang bang
Bang bang bang. Yes. He banged it around like a drumstick.

OH! It's FOOD!!
I said, “no, no. It’s food” and took a bite out of it. OH! It’s FOOD! He took a bite.

Nom nom
Nom nom nom. Him and Isabelle sat there munching away.

This is good!
This is good! He ate most of it. Maybe a quarter left. Which Isabelle finished.

And it’s just now that I realized, Nathan didn’t have any of the pirate pops I made for the kids birthday party. Huh. How did that happen?
