Walking with help
Trying to post this from my phone.
Trying to post this from my phone.
A week ago, Isabelle turned four years and ten months old.

And on the weekend, Nathan turned ten months old.

And just today, I realized if I held off on sharing Isabelle’s monthly family photo for five days, I could then take Nathan’s monthly family photo and then share them both at the same time. I did it a couple of months ago because I was behind on posting. But it didn’t really dawn on me that I should do this normally until…now. At ten months. Duh!
Or not. Does anyone even read these sketchbook pages? And interestingness…so a word.

1. Sleeping late. Maybe that’s why there was nothing else going on that Monday. I was probably too tired to draw it!
2. Nathan slept for forty minutes at the park but I probably carried him for like three. Not three minutes. Three hours.
3. Lightful. So a word. It’s so good it fills you with a radiant light, i.e. joy: lightful.
4. Alan ate cauliflower. And broccoli!! And he liked it. He said I should always puree veggies up so he doesn’t notice them. Victory IS mine!! Well Isabelle didn’t eat any. So, victory is half mine?

1. Hey, I actually have a picture of us as a result of Isabelle playing with the bibs and Nathan.
2. Doll with green hair came out quite nice. Good color choice Isabelle. Much nicer than the orange/red hair it had before.
3. Um men/boys and their male bits. Yeah…
4. Was it me being challenged or did it just feel like a challenging day because I was low on sleep. Hmmmm…deep thoughts.

1. Patrick the starfish. And I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it but my banner. Patrick and Spongebob. Yep.
2. Isabelle is always dragging Nathan around. Dragging sounds so violent. But she does. She can’t really lift him so when she does, Nathan’s toes are dragging along the floor as she moves him from spot to spot.
3. I don’t get distracted by the mirror anymore. I’ve gotten used to it. But in the beginning I quite liked to look in my rear view to see what Nathan was doing (as if he could spring from his carseat and dance around). And it’s funny that we never used it for Isabelle but we do for Nathan.
4. Isabelle IS a rainbow. She is lightful.
5. We got new phones. Fancy phones that do fancy things. Like video conferencing!! And I can read blogs anywhere now. Or as my phone told SAJ: I can read blobs. Sometimes the auto-complete completes me wrong.
6. The bathroom sign is still up. I wonder what Alan thinks about it. He never commented on the sign.
1. We did get new additions for the aquarium. For some reason Isabelle wanted a frog. And we were smart about it. Just one frog. So, we don’t have to worry about little frog babies, erm…tadpoles, like we do with the snail babies.
2. Yes. I’m a dork. My new phone rang and I didn’t know what that noise was. I do now of course. I am not that big of a dork.
3. I knew Isabelle had the sketchbook. Well, when I say knew I mean, I knew she had a sketchbook, not mine. I thought she had grabbed a miscellaneous one. But it turned out it was mine. She scribbled on maybe five pages or so.
4. Video conferencing. ON MY PHONE. Fancy. I know I mentioned it before but video conferencing. On a phone. The future is now.
1. See, I got smart. I’ve started using a blanket at the park so I won’t have to carry Nathan for three hours. Again.
2. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. Seriously? Tears because I looked at her? Sheesh.
3. Yes, all the cross out marks in the past how many days because apparently, I cannot read a calendar. Or ummmm, I can’t be bothered to look at my fancy phone.
4. And finally last note (long enough post as it is). Wet baby wipe. On my butt. Means wet patch. On my butt. All I can say is, good thing I was at home and not going anywhere.
LOOK! I looked at my scanner settings and it does auto white balance. Who knew!

And I am so behind, I’m not even bothering to put them into photoshop to straighten and crop.
1. Accidents are no fun. And it was doubly hard because Alan wasn’t at home to help. And I don’t know why she did it. I can’t remember the last time she had an accident. When Nathan was born?
2. Helen is one of the moms from homeschool meetup. She’s due next week!
3. Letting Nathan play with the baby wipes totally bought me like five minutes to…I can’t remember what. But I tell you it was a great distraction free five minutes whatever it was. ;-D
4. Oh and more of Isabelle’s scribbles in my sketchbook that I incorporated into weird scary thing that is laying outside dead right now. Yes. Some creepy dead thing is in our bag yard. I don’t know if it looks like that though. I didn’t get close enough to look.

1. I don’t really have stubby fingers. But when first using the phone I felt like I did have the stubbiest fingers in the world. And that morning Isabelle had the stubby finger thing going on too.
2. Nathan can soooo reach stuff on the little table all the time now.
3. Yeah it was sort of freaky his eye swelling. Allergies suck.
4. I was going to make that Isabelle scribble into an elephant but got sidetracked.

And I really have nothing to say about this last page because I’m hungry and the beef stew I made is done and so I am done.
This isn’t exactly new. It’s from a month ago. But it is hilarious. And sorry for the shaking. That’s what happens to a body when they are laughing. ![]()
