Groundhogs and More Groundhogs
I don’t usually celebrate groundhog day in any way, shape, or form. But this year is going to be different. Did you see the groundhog pouch I mentioned in my “I heart” section.
Well, the creative bug hit me when I saw it. I wanted to make all sorts of groundhog related items. Groundhog toys and hats and EVERYTHING!! But it was late and Nathan was fussing. So, I thought I’d just do something quick. I had an idea percolating in my head so I told Isabelle I was going to make her some groundhogs. And since we don’t ever remark on the day, she had no idea what I was talking about. She said, “what’s that going to taste like?” Bwa ha ha!
Well this is what popped into my head:

A groundhog garland. Sorry for the quality of the picture. Like I said, it was late and Nathan was fussing. I was rushing. If I had more time and didn’t have a fussing Nathan maybe I would have spaced the little groundhogs further apart. And I did cut them out rather messily. And do these even look like groundhogs? They seem more hamster like to me. Oh well, you get the idea. It was just easy and fast. Cut them out and run them through the sewing machine.
It’s totally silly and why would you need one or want one? But if you want, you can make a groundhog garland of your own. Or a hamster garland. Whatever they are.

You decide.
Maybe tomorrow we’ll make a big iron on groundhog toy. You can too!

So cute!
We are SO going to make one of these!!! Thank you!!!
well, when we get a printer that is! hahha which will be very soon! woot!
I think they’re cute!
Iron-ons sounds good! Will make and show you the result.
Oooh I’d love to see a finished one. I still haven’t finished Isabelle’s.
