Malfunction
Malfunction. Malfunction! Happy new year to you. I’m starting it out with a continuing malfunction!! See my what I wore today drawing:

Do you understand what I’m referring to in my drawing? That’s right. Leakage. Of the boob. I’ve been lucky. Usually there is no leakage. Not with Isabelle and not really with Nathan. Only if I was really full for some strange reason. And that rarely happens. I’m just not the leaking type. I’ve never leaked at the sound of a baby crying. Or leaked for whatever reason moms leak.
But lately…malfunction, malfunction. Leaking!! It started happening when I got my clogged duct. And now something wacky is going on with the left boob. On the day of that drawing, we were with our homeschool group at the park.

(And totally random but I love the little girl’s jacket)
Everything was going fine. No leakage until I tried to feed Nathan. Then yikes, the milk.

And now a week later the left boob still has a mind of it’s own. Just once in a while it will start leaking when I’m nursing him. Not every time, just occasionally, and more often than not. It’s sort of annoying. I know it’s not Christmas anymore but bah humbug! I want it back the way it was.

Don’t forget to start taking milk thistles to prevent future clogs. I get this one http://www.vitacost.com/Eclectic-Institute-Freeze-Dried-Milk-Thistle?csrc=GPF-023363301492
Try just gentle pressure with your wrist when out in public!!! When I breastfed (centuries ago) both sides erupted when the milk let down!!! Nathan looks plump and well fed. Whatever you’re doing it’s right!
For clogged milk duct prevention keep the milk flowing–don’t get too full (breast pump? for extra!)
I can’t fathom how you could not wear a bra—ouch!
Have fun!

The leakage in your photo cracks me up! It’s even included in your outfit. I’m thankful that I haven’t experienced that. I think it only happened to me twice. The first time was when I was still pregnant and then when I started breastfeeding Una, I woke up with a wet shirt on both occasions.
Well the braless state was because we thought maybe if the girls were free and untethered, the clog might get better.
And it doesn’t hurt at all. I’m not a bouncy prancy kind of walker so they stay in place pretty much.
First of all, your little guy is SO adorable in that last picture!! Also, I really like the hat he is wearing. Is that handmade?
Secondly, the leaking cartoon is too funny! I totally know how you feel about that leaking & clogging… and the crazy let down when baby starts feeding! My little guy is almost 7 months old so he is eating baby food for some of his meals… and boy do I get lazy about pumping. Ah, the joys of breast feeding.
Lastly, I really like your vintage/polaroid style photos =D
Love your blog,

Thank you Chi.
That hat is handmade. The umbilical hat pattern from Stitch and Bitch.
And the polaroid pictures are poladroid pictures.
