Malfunction

Malfunction. Malfunction! Happy new year to you. I’m starting it out with a continuing malfunction!! See my what I wore today drawing:
What I wore today: December 29

Do you understand what I’m referring to in my drawing? That’s right. Leakage. Of the boob. I’ve been lucky. Usually there is no leakage. Not with Isabelle and not really with Nathan. Only if I was really full for some strange reason. And that rarely happens. I’m just not the leaking type. I’ve never leaked at the sound of a baby crying. Or leaked for whatever reason moms leak.

But lately…malfunction, malfunction. Leaking!! It started happening when I got my clogged duct. And now something wacky is going on with the left boob. On the day of that drawing, we were with our homeschool group at the park.

(And totally random but I love the little girl’s jacket)

Friends. Playing.

"Take my picture, mama"

Everything was going fine. No leakage until I tried to feed Nathan. Then yikes, the milk.
Us

And now a week later the left boob still has a mind of it’s own. Just once in a while it will start leaking when I’m nursing him. Not every time, just occasionally, and more often than not. It’s sort of annoying. I know it’s not Christmas anymore but bah humbug! I want it back the way it was.

Last Weekend

This past weekend was the last weekend Alan had off of work. No more family leave. He went back to the drudgery on Monday. We asked Isabelle what she would like to do on daddy’s last weekend and she said she wanted to go to the zoo. So off we went.
Family picture

The lion house was open this time so we got to look at lions and tigers.
In front of a tiger though you can't see it
And I know you can’t see any lions or tigers in that picture, not even if you squint really hard. But there’s one there. I just liked all the pictures where you CAN’T see the tiger better than the ones where you can.

And I don’t have a single picture of the lion. Isabelle pushed her way past the hoards of people to look at him, but it was just one quick look. She was scared. And seriously, what was up with the hoards? Haven’t we all seen a lion before?

We also rode the miniature steam train.
Us on the train
Poor woman in front. I kept bumping her with my big ol’ butt when I got on and off the train.

We saw the giraffe house and Isabelle’s response was the same as the last time she went.
Stinky house
It stinks.

And did you know giraffes eat hair?

My Little Rocker

My little rocker
My friend, Olinda, came out the other weekend with a guitar for Isabelle.

My little rocker
And it really plays.

My little rocker
And I’d play something on it. That is if I knew how to play a guitar.

Rocking out
Can anyone point me in the direction of some easy online guitar lessons? Or can someone tell me how to play the different notes? If I knew the notes could I play it like I could play a piano or does it not work that way. I know nothing of guitars. Or little tiny guitars.

Ah forget it. I don’t really have the patience to learn it right now. I tried watching easy guitar lessons online and was instantly distracted with Isabelle and Nathan after about 45 seconds.
