Someone’s been watching commercials.

So, yesterday we brought Isabelle and Nathan to watch the The Princess and the Frog. Nathan’s first movie! Nathan loved it. He laughed and giggled. No, just kidding. He slept all wrapped up in the baby K’tan the entire time.

She hung her Bender doll on Nathan’s swing. Bender’s hand ended up in Nathan’s line of sight. He stared at that thing for a good five minutes. He could not look away. Must look at Bender’s hand. Cannot turn away.

I wonder if there was a point in my life where I danced with abandon. And then growing up I lost it somewhere. Or maybe I never did. I’m not one of those people you see in a crowd dancing to the music. I’m one of those standing there watching them thinking, “I could never do that, be so free.”

Well, a couple of weeks ago we went to a birthday party. And Isabelle was dancing all over the place. I love it when she does that. Dancing and enjoying the music without a care in the world. I hope she never grows out of it.
