Where’s My Piggy?
You know, one of the things I didn’t think about when we went painting pottery was, Isabelle would want to take her piggy home right away. She’s been asking and asking for it. I guess she doesn’t have any concept of what “next week” is.
Do you have a calendar? Let her X off the days. Probably won’t stop the questions on when will she get her pig
but might give her a visual as to what a week is.
Yes, time and children! What a learning experience. One thing I did for my daughter when she was I’s age was to make a poster with tear off numbers. The highest number was the number of days until some special event she was looking forward to. Each morning, I would help her tear off the highest number until no numbers were left and then it was the special day. This helped her AND me (not go crazy).
We count sleeps. “We go to see Grandma in five Sleeps.”
That said, she was in tears today because we still have one more sleep to go.
