Thinking About

We’ve had an Ikea weekend and we picked up our pottery. I have pictures but I haven’t gone through them. That’s because all I can think about is cutting my hair. I’m thinking shorter with bangs, like a bob. But then I’m worried that it’ll be too short to put up during labor. And is that kind of haircut flattering for my face? I don’t even know. But I keep thinking about it.
I just asked Alan if he could cut my hair like that. But it would probably be smarter to go to a hairstylist, huh?

I thought I read somewhere never to cut your hair when you are pregnant because you aren’t thinking straight. But I don’t know if that is very scientific!
I would leave enough hair to pull it into two cute pigtails.
But your hair may be better behaved than mine. If you could cut it short and it would behave well, it would be nice and simple/easy. I’m always jealous of people with hair like that! Just wash and go!
I’ve also heard not to cut your hair while you are pregnant–but because the texture can change and the hair can behave differently so even if you’ve had it short before it might not look like what you expected.
The rule is to Never, Ever cut your hair while you are pregnant. Ignore it at your peril. Not only does your hair act differently while you are pregnant (hormones and all that) but your brain is weirded out by the hormones and what seems like a good idea when you are pregnant really isn’t. If you weren’t pregnant you would know that its a bad idea. I’ve had 5 children (8 pregnancies bc several miscarriages) and I have either cut or decided to cut my hair every single time I was pregnant!! Last time….. I looked like a boy. My DH tried to be nice about it…. but I did look like a boy….. Not Good. Read the Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy by Vicki Iovine, too. She explains why cutting your hair while you are pregnant is a bad idea!!! Good Luck.
I cut my hair when I was pregnant and I cried. It wasn’t good.
As the end approached on each of my 3 pregnancies I got a wild hair to chop all mine off, my DH was horrified since I had long hair and would randomly show up at home with hair above my shoulders, poor guy. I blame it on the crazy hormones…at least it always grew back out. Good luck with the decision.
I would leave your hair long enough to “throw” up in a poney tail or bun….you are not going to have a lot of time to style a short due….you’ll see
