We’re still sick here. Alan’s been sounding really bad. He’s just hacking away. I could hear him coughing all last night and he’s still asleep right now. It was so bad that he canceled a dentist appointment and missed his friend’s 40th birthday party. And I really wanted to go too. But neither of us were up to it, even if we could have found someone to watch Isabelle.

And now I have a new pain lower in my belly, a little above and to the left of my belly button. And just when I was getting used to the other pains. But that hasn’t kept me from joining 7 Days this time around. It’s a challenge to take a self-portrait for 7 days.

Now I need to take a picture today and I’m losing daylight. But that’s what happens when you wake up at 2 in the afternoon. You have less to work with.

I’m off to make cookies so just a real quick post: my 7 Days photo from yesterday.

The other day we were driving home in the car. Isabelle was very very quiet. Then all of a sudden:

Isabelle: mama?

Me: Yes Isabelle?

Isabelle: I love you mama.

I love her!

Oh and we’re still sick. But. BUT we are improving. Nothing else much is going on, just 7 Days. Sorry if you’re getting sick of seeing the pictures, it’s just easier to post that right now.

The other night Isabelle asked for cookies. So, I made some chocolate chip cookies. Without chocolate chips. I didn’t have any. I cut up a candy bar and used that instead. Still yummy.

The next day, I was almost too lazy/tired to do a 7 Days. I was just going to use this one.

But then I changed my mind. The whole idea, for me, of joining 7 days was to try something different. So I came up with this.

Here’s another one I liked but ultimately I chose the other one.

The cookies were a hit with Isabelle. Of course.

Even Alan liked them and he’s not much of a cookie, cake guy. Usually when I bake we have too much. No one eats it all. But this time, they’re just about gone. In fact, there is only one left.

Ok off to edit today’s 7 Days picture which is really stretching me to my limits.

I’m really behind on pictures. I don’t know if I will ever catch up. But I guess that’s what happens when I don’t blog more frequently, the pictures pile up in Flickr and on my computer. And here’s a really old one, taken a month ago (a month is super long in internet time).
