Finished
I’ve finished my, how to sew from Japanese craft books, series on label-free. And here is the dress:

The only thing I’m not sure about is the belt. You can barely see it because of the pattern on the fabric but I widened it from 2″ to 4″.

wow- you are one heck of a sewer (is that how you spell it?).
love your drawings!
Oh, I love it! And I want it! And it’s just my size! It looks wonderful on you!
It’s beautiful! I would make five of those so I’d have one for each day of the week!
Ha! I laughed out loud at Alan’s reaction. That is such a *guy* reaction to clothing. I agree with Isabelle; I think it’s pretty!
You look stunning in that dress! Great job and great pattern selection.
Alan should see my ratty old terry man’s robes — or not!
i think it’s beautiful! it fits you very well and in no way resembles a robe! men just say what ever pops into their heads!
I think your dress looks great! And 100% cotton? It has a nice, flattering drape on you. The pattern works well too. Thanks for sharing your process.

I love the dress, it looks lovely on (and not robe like at all).
Robe schmobe.
If you want the belt to pop, it should be in a solid color … but I’m not sure the belt needs to pop. I think the dress looks fabulous on you. And I love the fabric.
I love it! Oh, and that is so a comment that my husband would make too. You’ve almost made me brave enough to try out a japanese pattern! Thanks for all of the hard work.
Very nice! My husband told me one of my favorite rainbow dresses looks like a curtain, so…
Maybe a black belt would make it less robe-ish. Haha!
love the dress, love the belt, good width, maybe shorten it a bit?
I love your robe dress. I didn’t think it looked like a robe until Alan said so but none the less it is a beautiful robe-like-dress. I like the belt too in whatever pattern or color. Wish Ebow was invited to that cool b-day party. We are envious. Eeeeeeeeeeew, I am with Alan, those specks are poo.
WOW! i love that dress! i cannot believe all the things you are able to sew, so pretty.
