At the Movies
Posted in: Family

I know I just posted on Monday but I feel like I’ve been gone for ages, like I have so much to catch up on. I think the reason is, we had a busy weekend out with friends. And Isabelle has been a handful. Then there was my first post on Label-Free. So yeah BUSY.

Today, I finally managed to get the pictures off the camera. So a little catch up here. On Sunday we went to watch Wall-E. It’s the first time Isabelle has seen a movie in a movie theater. I think she handled it very well. I mean how could she not like it? Popcorn. Icee. Cartoon on a big screen.
We went with our friends Veronica and Dennis. They sat in seats in front of us because it was so packed. At some point Isabelle wasn’t sitting anymore. She was standing. It was nice though because they could hear Isabelle when we couldn’t. They said they could hear her oohs and aaahs in their ears. Now if strangers were sitting there, they may have been giving her dirty looks. And we wouldn’t have known Isabelle was making oooh and ahh noises.

She almost lasted the whole movie, but not quite. Towards the end she started saying, “go home! go home!” But pretty darn good for her first movie theater experience.

She is so adorable! I’m glad you had a fun first-time movie experience. My neices were just like that at her age and you never got the see the whole movie whenever you took them (trust me, my sister and I pleaded with them many times ;). Congrats on a successful theatre event!

jerrett will not even walk by an entrance to a movie theatre! we took him to see his first movie when he was 2. it was probably a bad choice on our part (the polar express at the IMAX) and it’s scarred him for life! he screamed and cried the whole time! we left early. i took him to see chicken little and he was great through the previews until the actually movie came on and it was “i wanna go home!” and tears.

Oh she is a real cutie! Reminds me of my daughter
at that age.I just took my 2 year old son to the
Wall~e movie too way too cute! Now he keeps saying
wall~e wall~e!
Have you tried to put a bandana in her hair? Then
braid her hair on either side. My daughter loved her
hair that way. and I love it too because no food in the
hair!!!! I started to wear my hair like that for a
week then she asked to wear her hair that way.
I tricked her because she would not have wore her hair
that way if not tricked. She would ask I big mamma?
I big?? this age is so fun!
