My big bumblebee
Do these pictures look sort of familiar? Well if you’ve been reading for a while they should. This is the costume from last year that was too big.

How big she's gotten
Wow, what a difference a year makes. The little bee costume fits Isabelle now.

Wonder how big she’ll look like next year and will the costume still fit? So what did we end up doing for Halloween? Me and Isabelle were huddled in the dark hiding from the trick or treaters. No, just kidding. We were napping. We napped the candy getting time away and when we woke up there were no more trick or treaters to be found. It might as well have been a regular day. We didn’t see a single costumed person.

Creepy cupcake
Oh wait. I forgot. It wasn’t a regular day because I was creating monsters!! Cupcake monsters. I made dark chocolate cupcakes and decorated them inspired by Martha Stewart.

Ooh so yummy eyeballs
And when I say I made cupcake monsters I’m not just talking about the cupcakes. Yes Isabelle LOVED the cupcakes. I created a little monster by giving her that one. She wanted more, more, MORE! Cake! CAKE! CAKE! She remembers them from her birthday. She tries to sing “happy birthday” and pretends to be blowing out candles. And when she licks all the frosting off she asks for more frosting saying “cream!”. And ooh look I actually have a new video to share, my cupcake monster.

All spy like and shit
I was thinking about the rude Barnes and Noble saleslady. Thinking about how I’d like to stick a sign on her back. I was saying to futuregirl that I’d be all spy like and shit. This is the image that came to my mind.

Ummm…yeah. That’s a ninja, a NINJA, not a spy. N.I.N.J.A.

I’m a dork, thinking about ninjas instead of spies. So silly, I thought I’d illustrate it.

Oooh Look

Yeti and seamonster go trick or treating
I kept meaning to write about this illustration. I drew it before Halloween for Yeti Loves Seamonster. It would have been nice if I were on top of it and posted about this BEFORE Halloween and not a week AFTER but you know, that’s just how I do things sometimes.

From I like seamonsters
And oooh look what I got as a thank you for my illustrations. Tina sent me some of her awesome shirts. I was only expecting one but I got two! TWO shirts here people! And that wasn’t all. Oh no it wasn’t. I also got some yeti loves seamonster artcards, artcards made from my first illustration. How freaking awesome is that? And not only that but also one of her zombie ornaments and a zombie holiday card. I love her zombie items! I think sometimes I worry about zombies is my favorite design. Because, you know, sometimes I DO worry about zombies.

Pick me up mama
Brains. Brains.

I said PICK ME UP
BRAINS!

Ok so Isabelle wasn’t really saying brains. She was saying pick me up mama. PICK ME UP! Or to be more accurate it was that whine, the pick me up whine. Ehh, ehhh!! And then as she gets closer the whine gets louder. EHHH!! Hmm…maybe I SHOULD teach her to say brains for when she wants to get picked up. How funny would that be?

At the Park

Me and Isabelle have been feeling like crap this week. On Monday night my head started hurting. Then Tuesday I woke up to it still hurting so there was much sleep going on. I think it finally stopped hurting Wednesday night and I didn’t feel normal again until yesterday. But with Isabelle it was a different kind of crap. For her, diarrhea started on Tuesday. And then on Wednesday add a little vomiting on top of that. Which means lots of mama cuddles and letting her watch loads of tv in the hopes she will be distracted from her discomfort. And you don’t want to see pictures of poor unhappy Isabelle. So how about some pictures from last weekend?

Fell asleep in the car
We try doing fun stuff with Isabelle after running errands and whatnot. That can take a while so not surprisingly Isabelle will fall asleep in the car on the ride over to the fun stuff. And when that happens we usually just go home and let her sleep. But the other day I would not be deterred. We went to the park anyways.

Waiting for her to wake up
We waited for her to wake up. Well that was my plan. But Alan pointed out that she had a booger in her right nostril. He said it was the perfect opportunity to pick it out, seeing she was asleep and couldn’t run away. That little sucker was hard to get which meant lots of trying. Well obviously Isabelle woke up. You’d wake up too if someone were trying to stick their big fingers in your tiny nose.

Throwing sand. Bad baby!
Well good thing I woke her up. She has so much fun at the park. If she were sleeping we couldn’t do all this fun stuff. Like throwing sand! Why does she enjoy throwing sand? Why oh WHY?!

Soon to be stomped on by ME
And stomping on sandcastles and sandcrabs that Alan unmolded. STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!! Ok I’m sure the idea was for Isabelle to stomp away but she wasn’t interested in the stomping and you know you can’t have sandcastles and sandcrabs sitting there unstomped. I was happy to help on that part.

Brains!
And chasing mama saying brains…BRAINS! Ok not really. Still have to work on that.

Ride home
And the ride home. Or at least as far as the car.

Ok wish us a good weekend that’s diarrhea and vomit free. And I’ll wish you undisturbed sleep with no one sticking their big fingers up your nose.
