Thinking About Robots at the Renaissance Festival

My sister told us about the Renaissance Festival going on at Golden Gate park this past weekend. She said we should go and I could make a Renaissance costume for Isabelle to wear. I misheard her. I thought she said a robot costume. That would have been so funny, Isabelle dressed as a little robot at the Renaissance Festival. Then when she’d be walking around I’d be thinking, EX-TER-MI-NATE!!
But we didn’t end up going. $15 a person?!? Umm no! Instead we went to the beach. Free and relaxing. We drove past Pacifica along Devil’s Slide until we saw a beach that wasn’t too crowded. We pulled over and had to run across the freeway and go down down down all these steps to get to the beach. Isabelle had so much fun. Alan dug a big hole and Isabelle climbed in and out and in and out. I walked through the cold waves and we sat building things which Isabelle happily smashed to bits. She didn’t want to leave. We all had so much fun, didn’t even notice the nude people. I told Alan we should go every weekend forgetting that the weather won’t always cooperate. But maybe next time we’ll go to the beach Olinda lives by. No running across a freeway, tromping down a whole mess of stairs, and oh yeah…maybe no naked people. ![]()
