Another Dress for Isabelle
I still haven’t gone to get elastic thread but I wanted to sew something so this is what I tackled:

As I was getting close to finishing it I saw Isabelle near my laptop. But I just kept going. I didn’t even stop when she picked up my precious wacom pen. I was that determined to finish. When I finished the hem I looked over and saw this:

Do you see what she is sitting on? MY LAPTOP! My broken laptop. She climbed on top of the tiny little table to SIT ON IT, my poor battered computer. She is determined to destroy it.
Anyhoo back to the dress. Are you sick of seeing little dresses for Isabelle? Because I am not sick of making them! I used more $1 a yard fabric. The pattern is from this book again of course, dress S. It has little cap sleeves.

And did you notice the pockets? There are two of them. I wish I had chosen a different color for the pockets. You can barely see them after the work I put into making them.

I did the larger size again, 110. It’s very very big. It goes down to Isabelle’s ankles. I thought well the smock fit so well but of course the smock that is supposed to be shirt length is dress length on Isabelle so I shouldn’t have been so surprised that this looked so big on her. She is a giant but I guess her giantness is over exaggerated in my mind.

Keep showing them. I like seeing these. I had all the intention of making cute dresses for my daughters, but, well, I’m better at making curtains. Dresses scare me.
If you don’t want her near the laptop, put it somewhere else, silly!
She’s a cute little vixen.
The dress is adorable. And so is your little girl.
I actually have a Simplicity (?) pattern very similar to this dress, minus the cute pockets. I may have to add pockets next time.
Isabelle’s adventures crack me up!
Pretty Isabelle, pretty dress!
haha!seeing yr little isabelle sprouted from baby to little tot and now into little monster tot is a pure joy to me! my own 3 years old monster had sat, stand ,slammed, and now even know where to press the shut down button..imagined i’m in the middle of some serious work in my laptop, suddenly a little finger from nowhere shut off my pc!! this had HAPPENED to me FEW times already!! but talking bout it now,is just another joy to me..seeing our little ones growing, exploring & experiencing..
I love, love, love the pockets. If I have a daughter someday, I am so going to make her dresses everyday. It’s so much fun and so much cheaper than buying them, don’t you think?
Oooh, another cute dress. I love it. I loooooooove them all. I am not sick of seeing them. Love the photos of Isabelle especially the one where she has the dress pulled up.
What a cute little dress and your daughter is so beautiful! I’ve been wanting to make the exact same dress for my little neice, but haven’t gotten around to buying the book just yet…And your poor laptop! Our puppy stepped on my husband’s powerbook and the whole screen is ruined {the LCD is all purple + black pools of color} – when we looked into getting it fixed, we were quoted over $1000. So now he just uses the bottom corner of the screen…or borrows mine!
I also wanted to say thank you for all of the sweet comments you have left on ‘the dotted line’ lately – I’m just getting started so it’s lovely to hear from someone every now + then. Can’t wait to see more of your pretty dresses!
i agree with tiennie, izzy cracks me up! and i love the dresses you make izzy – soooo cute! =^..^=
Love the dress.
It can be hard to work on projects with little ones. my son is always getting into things. It seems I can only work when he is napping which isn’t very often!!!
