Missing camera cord. Last seen with cute baby.

You know when you have stuff to do and you procrastinate and you just don’t do it? You find something else totally unimportant to do and do that instead. Like make a silly wanted poster. Or is that just me?

So yes…I cannot find my camera cord. Actually I cannot find two of them, not just one but TWO! Isabelle was tugging on the one connected to my computer so I unplugged it. I think I may have put it in a safe place. But where that might be, I do not know.

She’s started doing this thing where she finds any cords and plugs and sticks them into her mouth. Then they are wet and that doesn’t mix well with electricity.

The other day she found the cord that charges my cell phone. It was hanging down low enough for her to tug tug tug and down down down it fell into a sink full of water. Glub, glub, glub the air bubbles were coming out of it. And yeah, I don’t think it’s working anymore. Actually that’s not accurate. She’s a little determined thing who will climb and claw her way to get things out of her reach. It wasn’t in reach. It was up high and behind stuff and she still managed to get it!

Oh, gotta stop typing. She has found another cord!!

Isabelle turned sixteen months old today. Right before we went out to take our family picture she was watching tv where a cartoon dragon thought her pet caterpillar had died. Actually it was just turning into a butterfly but the dragon didn’t know. Well Isabelle ran over to Alan and started to cry when the dragon thought it was dead! Isabelle had the saddest look on her face. She can’t possibly understand death. She must have started crying because the dragon was crying. Right?

Well anyhoo…I think this is the shortest family picture session we’ve ever had. We weren’t outside long because it was cold cold cold! And we didn’t have time to retake them inside because Alan was headed off to work. Oh well.

Let’s see…what do I want to remember from this month? Everything! It’s just all too sweet and cute and I wish I could remember it all as clearly as if it were happening. Don’t you wish that was the way all good things were remembered?

One night she was climbing on the ottoman which had a small tunnel on it. I moved it next to the couch on the play mat so she would have somewhere soft in case she fell. Well with the ottoman there it was just low enough for her to discover the couch. Now it’s her favorite thing. She’ll just climb up there and lean back and sit there for a bit. Or scramble back and forth. She can’t get up on the other couch without the ottoman so I’ll lift her up and set her next to me and she’ll get the biggest smile on her face like she’s been given a treat. So cute!! No more sitting on the floor for her!

Read month fifteen.

I made a log cabin quilt block for Quilts for the Kims. I only needed to make one so why are there two in this picture? Well, I struggled with the math for it and after much frustration just decided to go with the last number I ended up with. Which was WRONG.

So I ended up with a block that I was very happy with EXCEPT that it is a quarter of an inch too small all around. So another one had to be made.

What shall I do with the first one? A pillow perhaps?

Isabelle likes knocking over the lego box. She pours them out and then DOES NOT play with them. She just walks off and does something else. I’m so tired of picking them back up!! That’s why they are everywhere!

Oh and she doesn’t do that I am victorious stance. That’s my interpretation. But how cute would that be if she did?

I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather. Actually I feel like crap. Runny nose. Sore throat. Headache. Painful cough. I haven’t felt much like posting. But it’s always a pleasure to take pictures of Isabelle even when I’m coughing up a lung.
