Small Quilt

We just got home not too long ago and I felt like posting. I uploaded the pictures but now the sleepy is kicking in so maybe I will just edit this tomorrow.
Yeah. sounds good. goodnight.
Ok wide awake now. We went to a baby shower yesterday for Alan’s aunt. I made a small quilt. I went through many ideas of how I wanted it to look: with big squares, little squares, rectangles and on and on. But Alan didn’t like any of them. I finally ended up with this design. I was inspired by this bib. I was hoping to make a matching bib but just ran out of time.
And here is the back.

I did free motion quilting. I love the look of loops and curves but I need some more practice with it. The quilting is a little messier than I would have liked.

I’m always worried about making stuff for people, if they will like it, my color choices and design. Everyone’s taste is different. I hope Alan’s aunt likes it.

I love that space fabric. It’s to incredibly cute. What animal is in the little ships? Cats? Monkeys? I just have to know.
Is the front fabric sheep? I love the colors, but I can’t tell what the shapes are.

In the little ships there are monkeys and mice. Wait what did I just write? I mean cats and mice.
The front fabric is lions, tigers, and bears oh my. No it’s not really. I just wanted to write that. It’s actually lions, giraffes, and elephants. And the words adventure, safari, and jungle are also on it. I thought I took a picture of a close up but guess not so I’ve reposted a cropped in version of the first picture.
