Eczema?

This is a picture I took tonight after Isabelle’s shower. Can you see the red spots? We think her eczema is back. :( It showed up a few days ago (or was it over a week ago? My days blend together if I don’t write stuff down). It seems to be getting worse, spreading. It started on her back only and now it’s partly on her front as well. We don’t know why it’s come back or if it is even eczema.

She hasn’t eaten anything new and I don’t think I’ve eaten anything new. The only thing I can think of is: I’ve turned up the temperature. We got our bill from last month and it was HIGH!! I’ve never seen our bill so high. Last month with temperatures around 110 in our area, we had the a.c. set at 76. So when I saw the bill I freaked a bit and I bumped it up to 78. But those 2 degrees make a difference. You can feel it. But would that have made her all bumpy and red? It hasn’t been that hot this past week. It hasn’t even hit 100.

Now she wouldn’t be allergic to dog saliva would she? She’s been going ga ga over Nestle lately. Isabelle will be sitting next to her and next thing you know she sticks her face into Nestle’s face for her to lick. I’m like STOP IT NESTLE! but Isabelle sticks out her little face over and over to be licked. It’s the cutest thing. But then wouldn’t her face get all red and not her back? Ok I’m a dork. I just answered my own question. I don’t think it’s dog saliva.

Do you think it has something to do with the milk tea I’ve been bringing you?

it looks like jerrett’s eczema. his was never all over the back like that though; his was more around where the top of his diaper came on his back. temp changes and weather changes can bring it on. when we had 100 plus temps his flared up big time, now that we’re back to the upper 80’s it’s calmed down quite a bit.

did you put her in any new clothing or did she lay on something that wasn’t washed in gentle detergent?

best thing is to wash her blankets/sheets every few days, double rinse, and keep her skin moist. (we use Aveeno Baby and Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema cream right after a bath, throughout the day and at bedtime)if the eczema dries out it becomes itchier.

jerrett’s allergic to dog saliva. when licked, especially on the face, he gets red and puffy. i don’t forsee an allergy for dogs with her because it would’ve been picked up on already.
