I loooooooove the new banner and look, you guys are wearing new outfits too!
Plug in and charge up those monster lights I got you. Also get one of those flash lights that don't need batteries that you can just crank. I had one and it was soooo fun. It lasted for 2 days and then disappeared somewhere after Ebow got to it.
I looooooooove blackouts. They are so much fun!

Pretty scary when you realize how unprepared you are in certain situations. Been there a few times.
Love the new banner. Very appropriate for summer!

First, sorry for the panic you were in! Even without a baby in my house, a power outage can throw me for a loop (even in the middle of the day!) Consider it a training exercise -- now you know what you need to correct so things will be better next time. Did Isabelle sleep through it? I just had to replace my main flashlight after the batteries leaked and corroded my old one. Now I've learned I need to make a plan to check those batteries regularly before that happens again. It's always something!

Second, love the summer look. I wish I knew how you do your artwork and wish I had a speck of talent in that department.

Breathe deep and remember the sun does come up again after the dark.

First--banner looks good.

Second--yes, having children definitely changes how you feel about emergencies. We have flashlights in every room--right next to the beds--even in the girls' rooms.

We have an easy to find first aid kit that can be carried anywhere. And, my husband insists on having a box of non-perishables around for just in case moments (like hurricanes or bad snowstorm).

I feel for you and I so understand.
