I still want to try the couching idea that Futuregirl suggested to get the darker outline on my softies but in the meantime here’s the next softie idea. Sad carrot like sad pea is diskliked by Isabelle. I think I can make a whole bunch of sad vegetables and fruits.

Many times when I go out for Chinese, I get chicken and mixed vegetables. By the end of the meal there is a little pile on the side of the plate for the vegetables I don’t eat. My husband calls them The Unloved Vegetables. The Unloved Vegetables also get their own little pile when I order big salads with all sorts of weirdness in them.
And now, with the generous assistance of sweet Kuky, the plight of The Unloved Vegetables will be known to the world.

If the veggies are unloved - then what is loved? What are the happy foods (although this is a bit disfunctional as you are digesting them)?

When she likes something we’ll see a happy food.
It’s the funniest thing. She REALLY dislikes the food she’s tried. I originally thought hate was too strong a word to go with my illustrations but it really is fitting. Isabelle gags sometimes she dislikes the food so much. So far it’s just rice cereal she’ll go for. I’m sure eventually she’ll like it…well I hope.
