I’m working on a couple of things. Here’s a question…how do you get nice sharp points when you turn your items inside out? I push and push and just can’t seem to push them out enough to get nice sharp angle. Any tips? I’m using scissors. Should I be using something else?

Update: Aaaa haa haa hoo!! Thanks mama lamb. I’m not trimming it enough! And Monte Kitty I’m making stuff!!! Hee hee hee! Aren’t I a brat? I’ll show them in all their glory yeah right when I’m done. :)

You have to trim the tip before you turn… in other words, before you turn the fabric, there is a triangle point…cut the point off close to the stitching.. very carefully.. that helps a lot. Then when you turn, there is not that bulk of fabric trying to clog up the point. I am sure someone out there has a website showing pics of it.

Scroll down the left side of this article and it shows a place where a corner is clipped to make the point sharp…Hope that helps!

I use a good old fashioned pointy, wooden chopstick. Scissors might cut through the fabric. Whatcha makin’? :)

Hi sweetie! I was always taught to make little snips around the corners but I think trimming is a MUCH better idea. I had a ton of trouble with that on your Matilda.

Chopsticks work very well or the end of a crochet hook or knitting needle.

Listen to me … like I have any clue. All of these other people are brilliant and I am just agreeing. Sheesh, spend the weekend sewing and you would think I know a thing or two!

It should be noted that when I was a double fashion design and merchandising major that I FAILED sewing. Uh huh failed it! I had to make fancy stuff which took so long and was so obnoxious that I could not catch up with the class. Here is the next sad funny thing. I have spent most of my working years in the Textile Industry. Loads and loads of free fabric and everything. Can I sew though? Nope. I taking sewing so seriously that my sewing machine is powered by a gameboy!

Oooh sorry that was long… I spent a lot of time thinking about that this weekend *wink and smile*

    Hugs to you all!
