One is for Helen and sorry I’m ruining the surprise Helen but I wanted to share how happy I was for Vegasandvenice and I’m worried that you’ll buy one when I’ve already bought one for you. Oh and I got you stickers too!

Here is the sad carrot drawing as a softie. When I was cutting his green top out I thought hmmm…that’s hard to see where to sew but I continued cutting and figured I could just figure it out as I went along. Well that didn’t work. It doesn’t look at all like what I drew. And then staring at my drawing I started to think his green leafy top looks more like it belongs on a pineapple. So he’s going back to the drawing board.

And the sewing…! His cross lines weren’t anchored properly so they’re coming up. And on his back side I started sewing his cross lines on the wrong side and you can tell. What do I mean? Well on my sewing machine, at the starting point the thread jumbles up and looks messier on one side than the other. Are all machines like that or does it have something to do with my tension? So I have to watch that the next time sad carrot is made.

Here is the wonderful fabric Isa sent me. What should I do with it? I was thinking of incorporating some of it into clothes for Isabelle.

You think we would have learned not to jump on the new air mattress. But this time it was a misunderstanding. Really.

At the store I misread the box. It was deceptive. Pictures of little kids jumping on it. 600 pounds. I thought the word tarpaulin (at least I think that’s what the box said…I’m not looking at it) was trampoline. So I told Alan it was a trampoline air mattress.

So that explains why he was jumping on it. No hole yet.

Guess who’s standing?!?! She can pull her little self up!! I wanted to post a video but the camcorder is in the living room and Isabelle is sleeping now.

And guess who has a tooth coming in??? I had my finger in Isabelle’s mouth and I felt something sharp. I looked and there on her bottom gums was a tooth coming in. Or is that coming out? Well anyhoo…she’s growing up too fast!!
