Imperfect Little Bear

I’ve finally finished this bear from Simple Knits for Cherished Babies by Erika Knight! He got his face after waiting since September 2004, 2 0 0 4 !. He was made before I knew how to seam properly. During the stick my needle anywhere to join knitted pieces together phase. That explains his frankenstein seams. He originally had a blue ribbon on him but I lost it because well when you’re sitting waiting for a face for over a year, and tossed from one drawer to another, you lose accessories such as ribbons.

So then I put a pink ribbon on him to hide the crappy seams but it didn’t hide them well. So I made him a scarf. But his little imperfections have grown on me. I think the old frayed pink ribbon suits him.

  1. Ha ha ha I have a one eyed bear from that book waiting for a face to and I know it has been atleast a year! I was even thinking of it earlier today. you may just be the inspiration I need to get it finished! Yours is a cutie! Good Job!

  2. Aww, I wub your bear!

  3. Congrats on another completed project! Very cute! Hey, one year is nothing. At least you completed the bear and just needed the details. Remember that sweater I was working on from last year? July will be the one year anniversary of the start date and I’m still just on the back panel. ;)
