I’ve been meaning to talk about the Maker Faire. But with all the no sleeping and the drawing mood that hit me, I forgot about it. Anyhoo…we went on Saturday. The reason I wanted to go was to see Jess Hutchison demonstrating how to knit George.
Isabelle did soooo well. She took a nap on the ride there. And during the workshop Alan wheeled her around in her stroller. I was sort of antsy during the workshop though because I couldn’t see her and was worried she was fussing. When I met back up with them she gave me the biggest smile. It was so sweet.
There were so many attractions to see, my favorites besides Jess Hutchison workshop was a big walking metal giraffe and blinky bugs. But there were also unexpected sights like the guy riding around on a broomstick bicycle, no handles, it was a broomstick. And at one point I got to ride this guy’s balancing scooter. That was a blast! We were there for 6 hours and didn’t get to see everything. I wanted to drive around the little 3 wheel car but we never got around to doing it.
We did buy some things. I just had to have the popsicle from Heyday Fashion and the stroller blanket from Tartlette. Isabelle seemed to enjoy the faire, so much to look at. I was worried she wouldn’t take a nap. But she did in the ellaroo wrap and then she had another nap on the way home.
Ok in this picture Isabelle looks like she doesn’t like her new blanket and toy but trust me this wasn’t her reaction on Saturday. She was holding the little popsicle in her hands and trying to chew on it and it was the cutest thing…that I didn’t get a picture of. It’s just today Alan was working in the yard with that weed whacker machine or whatever it is called and the noise scared her. But that’s a post for another day since I have rambled on more than I regularly do.
