Our babies are close in age. Nathaniel is 10 months old as of July 27. He too has been pinching quite painfully for some time, and I wondered if this has lessened for you since your blog. I have tried to gently but firmly stop him but I think I have a stubborn little guy. Good luck.

Sweet Kuky, what a great Mom you are. For some strange reason, I kept thinking about the pinching thing all day (yes, I worry about me, too). Maybe you could make her soft little mittens (or bags) to wear on her hands while you nurse. My daydreams about thwarting the pinching also came up with sewing a rattle inside for her to grab onto so she wouldn't just pinch through the yarn. Or you could make them fabric with padding so she can't pinch through them at all. I don't like to meddle with parents (I'm not one - what do I know?), but I also don't like to the thought of your boo boos. I've got it! You could teach her to crochet so she'll have something to do with her hands while she nurses. :)
