Isabelle has started screaming. I think it’s just for the fun of hearing her own voice. She just started doing it one day. So I did it back to her. Aaaah!! she goes. Then aaaaaahhh!! I go. Back and forth or both at the same time. And she smiles and screams and smiles. And Alan says I’m teaching her to scream. But I didn’t teach her to scream. She started it and I’m playing along. Ok scream sounds sort of extreme. More like a holler…

My first did this as well. She sounded like those old records of whale songs that used to come with the National Geographics when I was a kid.
My second sounded more like a harpy–it was much shriller and high pitched.
Finwe does it too, but his is lower and more intermittent.
And, we also mimic him just like we mimicked the girls. Tell Alan that it teaches Isabelle to make the same sounds you make–a precursor to real talking.
