Isabelle turned seven months old today! So here are a few items from this month:
Isabelle throws tantrums. Well that’s what I call them. Sometimes she gets so frustrated she throws herself back, kicks and kicks, and cries like it’s the end of the world. When she’s sitting on her playmat I have to be sure to be near in case she throws one of these fits or else she’ll hit the floor hard with her head.
Hell, sometimes she just throws herself back even if she’s not throwing a fit. I think she just enjoys it. I’m worried the only way she’ll stop is if I’m not fast enough to catch her and she bangs her head. That’ll teach her to throw herself back!
Isabelle got to wear hair accessories for the first time. And she looks so adorable with little barrettes in her hair. Aww what am I talking about…she always looks adorable!
I think most other babies have been alone way before this age (like asleep in their cribs) but Isabelle’s never been alone. Well until this past month I should say. She was napping and Bridgette and Marie came over so I closed the door and she was asleep…alone by herself in a room.
The screaming thing. Video here.
Isabelle does this shaking her head thing. Like side to side as in NO NO NO! At first it was sort of scary to watch like she was having an episode but it’s not. It’s just something Alan taught her. And now when I laugh she shakes her head all happy and smiley.
On the food front…not that much progress. She’s had very little baby food but when she does Alan enjoys getting it all over her beautiful little face.
She’s getting really tricky with being placed on the lap sideways. She sort of spreads her legs and it looks sort of like this karate move and you can’t sit her in your lap and have to make several attempts before getting her there. I will have to get that on video one of these days.
Isabelle can now sit up pretty much on her own. She enjoys it so much she gets all fussy if she’s not sitting and has to lie on her back or have tummy time. Aaah…how will she ever learn to crawl.
Oh horror of horrors…she’s doing this pinching thing. Pinching when I’m nursing her. I have scratches on my boobs and little cuts. And sometimes it’s grab and twist. Yikes! I was worried about biting when she got teeth in but ouch this hurts!
Ok guess that’s all the time I have for this post. My adorable little pinching baby is throwing a little fit. Gotta go!
