Isabelle has started screaming. I think it’s just for the fun of hearing her own voice. She just started doing it one day. So I did it back to her. Aaaah!! she goes. Then aaaaaahhh!! I go. Back and forth or both at the same time. And she smiles and screams and smiles. And Alan says I’m teaching her to scream. But I didn’t teach her to scream. She started it and I’m playing along. Ok scream sounds sort of extreme. More like a holler…

Tonight as I was laying in bed next to my little sleeping Isabelle, I thought I noticed something dark on the wall. I looked closely but nothing was there. Then I saw movement on the headboard, it had dropped lower. It wasn’t on the wall anymore! It was a spider and it was within a foot of us!! I am SCARED of spiders! I usually am too scared to even get close to killing them. I usually call Alan to kill them. But this spider was near Isabelle.

So me protecting my daughter, I quietly got out of bed and grabbed a tissue paper and smoooooshed the shit out of it! I was so freaked out! I could feel and hear it’s body crunch under my fingers. Now I’m all shaky from the adrenaline. And I keep feeling phantom tickles on me thinking about the creepy thing. But I did it. I killed it! I feel like a mother lion! And all over killing a tiny spider…ahem a big freaking gigantic monstrous spider that meant to harm my child. Rawr!!
