Silly Parent #8 - Upside Down Onesie

Onesies don’t work when you try to put them on upside down. Alan can attest to that.

These are lights my sister got us. We don’t really use them though because I keep forgetting to charge them. They are sooo cute so I thought I’d draw them instead of a boring lightbulb. Well anyhoo as I was going to say, Isabelle has never slept a night without light. It’s more for me than her. I have our closet light on so the room is dimly lit and I can see her at night. So she’s never been without light since she was born. I wonder if being in the pitch dark would bother her?

We’ve been practicing sitting. Is it really counted as sitting when you’re falling down a lot? See video here.

The weird little hat/wrap thing on Isabelle’s head is actually a headband. We got it at Target. It looked silly big in the store but it was only $1 so I bought two. Two silly headbands with big silly bows on them.

We’ve been practicing sitting a lot. Isabelle’s doing so well. In this picture she was able to put the toy in her mouth without falling over! Yes that deserves an exclamation point. Because usually when she trys sticking something in her mouth while she’s sitting, she’ll just follow the motion of her hand and oops falls onto her back. So exclamation point, exclamation point, exclamation point. Putting the toy in her mouth without falling over!!!

I was in a rush because Isabelle was fussing for her bath. I hurriedly tried to finish the cup of water I was drinking. It was too much and I couldn’t swallow it all. I ended up coughing the water…onto Isabelle. Don’t ask me why I didn’t spit it into the sink. Yeah it makes perfect sense now. But when you’re choking on water, you don’t think, you just spit it out, and where it goes is where it goes and if it happens to go on the baby well that’s ok. I mean I did say I was going to give her a bath.

A couple of weekends ago Bridgette and Marie took me to Moonstruck, a chocolate cafe, where they had these truffles that are too cute to eat, but eat them I did. I also had a yummy chocolate chai with cinnamon. Now I’m in the mood for some chocolate chai. Mmmm yum!
