The Trouble With Rolling
Posted in: Family

SouleMama had a post the other day of Adelaide rolling. I was inspired and had to have my own pictures of Isabelle rolling. Yes…the little one can roll. And oh boy can she roll! If rolling over had an ass to kick she sooo kicked it’s ass!
So the trouble with rolling…the other night she was sleeping. I was by the bedside and heard her fussing. By the time I heard her fussing and had looked over she had rolled over onto her tummy and was AWAKE. I got her back to sleep only to have her roll onto her tummy again an hour later. This time there was no fussing noises of her moving around. She just started to cry and I looked and there she was ON HER TUMMY. Hmmm…this isn’t a good thing.

Oh, get used to it. She’ll figure it out in a bit, and then she’ll learn to sit and won’t want to lay down at night. Then, she learn to pull herself up, but won’t know how to get back down and will cry out for you. Then she’ll begin to crawl and won’t like the “cage” of the crib. Then she’ll learn to walk and won’t want to lay down.
Well, you get the point.

I was a major roller myself! I still love to roll. As HP said, it is something to get use to because once she starts to rock - - you’ll wish all she did was roll.
