Here’s what I was working on this past weekend. I was planning to make these for an upcoming baby shower. It’s from Baby Gifts: Simple Heirlooms to Make and Give. This was a test trial that Isabelle gets to keep.

But Alan thought a knit item would be better. I agree.

Well since I’m not making those felt bootees and hat this is what I’m using instead. I’m making two. One in these pink colors.

And one in these blue colors.

It’s a surprise.

There are two because it’s for twins! A girl

and a boy

Gawd, I’ve never had to weave in so many ends.

Here they are! Baby hats! Felted baby hats! Here is the before felting.
And here are they after felting. The color is all weird but you get the idea.

They came out smaller than I expected. But they are sooo cute. I will need to make Isabelle one.

Have I already mentioned this? Isabelle has gained more control. She can hold her head up better. It’s so cute. She still weebles and wobbles all over the place when we sit her up but it’s adorable. You can see a short video here. And she has more arm control. She doesn’t hit herself in the head nearly as much as she used to.
