Silly Parent Mistake #2
I feel like I am always forgetting something when I leave the house. What could it be? What could it be? I have my keys, my purse, the baby, and the car seat. What else is there?
The DIAPER BAG! Hello?!
I always forget, without fail. Luckily Alan remembers by the time we get to the car. He thinks he needs to attach it to the car seat with a clip of some sort. That way I’ll never forget (one would hope).
This is why there are glove compartments.. run out right now and stick three diapers, an extra outfit, and a slim box of travel wipes in there.. and then if you forget the bag, you have back up!
I second the first suggestion as well as offer another one. Get rid of the purse and find a place for your wallet, etc. in the diaper bag.
We keep an extra bag of diapers,wipes, diaper cream,blanket, jacket in the car. I used to even carry an extra diaper bag in the car as well. I remember lugging my diaper bag everywhere but never even needing to use anything in it except a diaper or two. Now I have chucked the diaper bag and just use a medium size purse unless I am going somewhere far.
But the important thing here is that you REMEMBERED diapers (refer to Parenting Mistake #1 in previous post). It was the BAG which you forgot – not the actual DIAPER.
