I’ve become a baby person. I didn’t use to be a baby person. I was a dog person. Alan has always been a baby person. When we would go to a party and there were babies Alan would head straight for the baby. I on the other hand would go straight for the dog. Oooh ahh dog. Alan’s all ooh ahh baby. But now I love love love babies. When we go out and I see a baby I go and look and see how they look compared to Isabelle. I read mommy blogs. I am a baby person.

Instead of reworking the bubby bear I’ve started the Miss Dashwood baby hat. Knitting is always more fun than pulling and fixing. I’m using the same yarn as the bear.

No knitting because Isabelle has been a challenge with eating again. She was doing o.k. for a while but that didn’t last long. And she seems worse at night for some reason.

But look at the pretty yarn I bought to make nice things for my stubborn baby.

I’ve finished the hat part of Miss Dashwood. Now I need to do the earflaps. It didn’t take anytime at all. :)

The Target yarn is thinner then the recommended yarn so it’s looking well…thin. I did a test swatch to check my gauge and it was running a little small. I wanted it to fit for sure so I made the bigger size, 6-12 months, and she can just grow into it.

Bleeding…Waaah!

Scratch on her little face
It might be hard to tell in this picture but the Miss Dashwood hat is too big for her. It was hard to take the picture because my poor little baby was crying.

See the dot next to her eye on her nose. She was bleeding. My poor baby was bleeding!

Yesterday she rediscovered her thumb. I say rediscovered because this was the first time I saw her sucking her thumb since she was born.

What happened was, I was getting ready to feed her and she was sucking on her mitten. And when I pulled her little hand out of her mouth it was only the thumb that was all wet. Oh so cute. So today when she pulled off one of her mittens I didn’t put it back on because I kept thinking: how cute she could go and suck her thumb again.

Well while she was sleeping she scratched her little face hard and she started to cry and when I checked there was blood. Waaaah!!! She’s never scratched her face so hard to draw blood before. Poor baby!
