I’ve been doodling today while Isabelle has been sleeping. I made a doodle of her with all her hair. This doodle and this doodle isn’t really accurate for her.

And then I put her with me and now I have a new banner. ![]()

It was my 32nd birthday on Saturday. Since Isabelle was born all the days just sort of meld together. My friend mentioned it on Thursday and I didn’t even remember it was coming up. I promptly forgot again and on Friday night into Saturday morning when it turned midnight Alan walked in with a birthday cake for me and a present from Isabelle. It was a cute little picture frame in a little bag with a card that said “To Mommy, Happy Birthday! Love Isabelle” Alan is so sweet. I am loved.
And then later on in the day my friends came over. My friend Olinda gave me this ADORABLE sock kitty!

She got this one for her birthday from a talented friend.

I’ve been coveting it and loved it so much. I would always try to “borrow” him. So she had her friend make me my own little sock kitty! I saw him in the bag and I laughed maniacally and grabbed him out. I think I actually jumped for joy. And maybe even tried to clap my hands like a little kid.
I had a wonderful birthday!

I tried to make bubby bear but I don’t like how his feet turned out and I was too enthusiastic when I stuffed his head. The yarn in his neck is all stretched. I’m going to pull him and start all over.

When Isabelle turned one month old we made an impression of her foot. We were planning to get a desktop framed footprint at the Discovery Store but the very nice salesperson pointed out this footprint memory box that was on clearance for around $14. FOURTEEN DOLLARS!! What a deal.
It came with a small dinky roller that was a big pain so we used a regular sized roller. It took many tries and we were scared to push too hard on her foot but we finally got an impression.
It’s so cute. Now we want to get her footprint on paper. I wish we had done it when she was born. I thought she would get her footprint on her birth certificate but apparently not. It’s this plain paper that sort of looks like a pink slip for a car. We’re going to do it every month and see how big she’s getting.
