We went to Target and they had the cutest cards. Baby shower invitations, thank you cards, and birth announcements. They all match! I love them. But I wanted to get birth announcements with the baby’s picture on them. Where do I go to get that done?

I Am A Bag of Fish

I am like a bag of fish. When the baby moves I feel soft little nudges on my belly that make me think of fish against a plastic bag. Well actually I should say I used to feel like a bag of fish. Now the baby doesn’t make little baby nudges anymore. She’s more like a little boxer in there or a kick boxer with strong jabs, punches, and kicks that push my belly out. She’s so big now that she can push in opposite directions, like she’s kicking on one side and punching on the other. The other day Alan came home and kissed my belly and the baby popped him one on his mouth.

My favorite time of day is when I lay down to sleep and right before I turn the light off I just lay there and watch my belly moving up and down with her little pushes. It’s like watching a little show happening right on my belly.

Started Petal Baby Hat

I’ve started the petal baby hat. I’ve been wanting to go to the yarn store but haven’t had a chance. I really wanted to start the hat so I decided to use the Lamb’s Pride leftover from making my French Market Bag. After this I want to make a quilt and then something from the book Trixie gave me. :)

Alan and I are nightowls. We usually don’t go to bed until the sun is already up. I wonder if our little girl will be a nightowl too?

Happy Father’s Day

My father is an amazing guy. He has stories from his life that belong in a book or in a movie. Growing up he would tell me these fantastic stories and the best part was in these stories my dad was the hero; he was the main character.

As a young man my dad escaped from China. He actually made multiple attempts of which the adventures included trying to escape from attack dogs, swimming miles, hiking through mountains, and being smuggled into Hong Kong masquerading as a fare collector.

Jumping ahead in the story of his life, after I was born my parents were given the opportunity to come to America. They packed up just a few precious things, left everything else behind, and within three days were on a plane to America. Two weeks later my sister was born, the first American citizen in our family.

That’s a peek into my dad’s life.

I love you daddy!
