I had a funky result from my AFP with Daughter #2 - something was too high and it was associated with Down's Syndrome. (she was perfectly healthy and normal). That AFP test is so full of false positives, that I sometimes wonder if they shouldn't stop giving it or something --- it has thrown many expecting couples into complete turmoil!

Well, it’s Friday and I suppose you had the test — I hope it all went well. I had a funky result from my AFP with Daughter #2 – something was too high and it was associated with Down’s Syndrome. (she was perfectly healthy and normal). That AFP test is so full of false positives, that I sometimes wonder if they shouldn’t stop giving it or something — it has thrown many expecting couples into complete turmoil!
