We went for our first prenatal checkup today. I was so scared. It was our first visit the last time around when they couldn’t find the heartbeat. But this time it was different. Alan saw it right away even before the nurse pointed it out. But how could you miss it. The little fluttering that was going so fast. It was our baby’s heartbeat.

I’ve been ecstatic all day. I keep saying to Alan “Did you see the heartbeat?”. And he keeps saying “yes honey I WAS right there.”

I am so happy.

Nestle was outside in the side yard and she came in and sat down next to me on the floor while I was at the computer. Ug! That’s when I smelled it! I looked down at her and she had the saddest look on her face. And she smelled like crap. She smelled like she had been sitting in a vat of stinky. She smelled SOOOO BAD, SOOO TERRIBLE! There are no words that can describe the stink.

I opened the bathroom door and she jumped right into the bathtub without me even having to tell her. That’s how bad she smelled, so bad she even thought she needed a bath.

Now she smells like tearless protein shampoo. Thank gawd!

Oh my gawd! How come I’ve never heard of Bloglines? Ann even mentioned it on her site. And I read her like EVERYDAY! And also hello it’s on her sidebar!

Bloglines is so easy to use! At first I thought oh I have to download something and open a new application blah blah blah. But it’s not. I just signed up and it’s all in my internet browser. I even put the handy little bookmark to easily add sites to my bloglines.

And now I’ve been on the computer for way too many hours happily surfing from blog to blog, finding new reads and adding sites to my bloglines feeds. And now I won’t have to open each site separately not knowing if they’ve updated. All I need to do is log on to bloglines and it will show who’s updated.

Now I understand how my site feed works. I originally put it up not really understanding what it’s for and NOW I GET IT. Why doesn’t everyone have one?

Nestle was contently lying on the bed chewing a bone. I went down the hall to our laundry room to get some clean underwear. And Nestle leapt off the bed and came bounding after me. I told her she was a silly dog and that I was only getting clean underwear and she didn’t need to chase after me as if I were leaving the house (remember I talk to my dogs). Then I waved my clean panties in front of her face over and over saying “clean underwear, clean underwear!” So what does she do? She grabs my panties and runs off down the hallway with them. She thought it was a game.

Wow a picture! and Wow it’s knitting content. Yep. It’s my variation on a frill. I finished it! I was stumped a little at first because the amount of stitches on the frill didn’t match up with the rest of the piece. But I realized that they did if I dropped the yarn overs. That way I came up with the exact right number. And I was supposed to pay attention when I was doing the kitchener stitch but I obviously wasn’t paying close enough attention because I ended up with an extra stitch. But that’s ok. I just finagled it in. And it’s not noticeable at all, at all, at all.

Now what new project shall I start? I really should try to finish up some of my old projects. Squishy needs a face still. Ok I need to kick my own ass and get to it.
