Illustration Friday: Regal

This week’s Illustration Friday is regal. Wow I don’t think I’ve put mine up so late in the day.

This week’s Illustration Friday is regal. Wow I don’t think I’ve put mine up so late in the day.

When I first started knitting all I knit was scarves. Scarf after scarf after scarf. I have five scarves on my finished project page but I probably have made five or six more in addition to that. I just don’t have pictures of them up. So many scarves that after a while I felt like I would never knit another scarf again.
Well I picked up my new yarn today (the one I said looks like candy) and started knitting. Just seeing what it would look like, trying different stitches and then ripping it out. Right now I’m knitting a seed stitch and I like the way it looks. And you know what? I think it’s going to be a scarf.

This is one of my sister’s three dogs. His name is Happy. The picture was so cute I just wanted to share. His original owner didn’t want him so Helen took him in. Helen also has two other dogs in addition to Happy. All from people who neglected them and so she took them in. I don’t understand people who get dogs and then just leave them in the yard all the time and never spend any time with them. What’s the point of having the dog then?!

I like buying dog toys. It makes me happy to see the dogs playing. We recently bought a bumble bee hive toy. The hive has holes and you stick the bumble bees inside and the dogs have to get them out. The bumble bees have squeakers in them and sometimes when I’m sleeping Nestle is squeaking away and it’s annoying and lovable all at the same time. I love them even for all their annoyingness. Is that a word?
Well anyhoo…we got a new dog bed for the dogs. It’s very very big.

It was a great deal. It cost $54.99. It was half off. It’s waterproof and all washable. We lit a fire last night and put the dog bed in front and the dogs took a nap on it together.

It’s so soft and puffy. Alan sat down in front of the fire and then fell asleep on it and spend the WHOLE NIGHT on the dog bed while the dogs were in bed with me! Ha ha ha ha!!
That’s not as mean as it sounds. I brought him a blanket and he looked so comfortable on the dog bed that I didn’t want to wake him. And he WAS comfortable. He didn’t wake up until 9am.

No knitting today, just a bunch of scribbling. How do people draw all the time? What do they draw? When I was younger I drew all the time. What happened to that?
I was reading Fickle Knitter Fiend about her bad dog so I thought I’d show the results of my bad dog. Namely Waldo. He did a lot of damage when he was a puppy during his teething stage. The damages to the couch are all hideable.

Lesson learned: when I crate trained my dogs I should have used the damn crate. I felt bad and didn’t use the crate and look at the results. He didn’t limit his diet to the couch. He also liked walls.

We have Waldo height gouges in our walls. They are all at his puppy mouth level. I am just thankful that he grew out of that stage.

Did you see the turkey kicked my sheep out. Ok sheep is back!
