Well since it’s going to take a whole lot more searching to find the pattern for my lace scarf I’m going to pick up my Wave Wrap again. I don’t really like the way I laid the colors out. But I don’t want to rip it. Oh what shall I do what shall I do? Maybe I will continue on with different colors and see if it’ll grow on me.

I just found out the fog festival is coming up on September 25-26th. Yay! “The Fog Fest is a celebration of sun, sand, and surf that defines life on the coast.” I’ve already marked it down on my calendar!

The Grudge

Alan and I went to watch a movie today. And while I dashed in to get our seats Alan went to get popcorn. One of the trailers I saw was The Grudge. It looked creepy and interesting.

Well after the movie we went to Alan’s cousin’s house. We popped in some Japanese movies. And one of them was The Grudge 2. Very very weird coincidence since I just saw the trailer for The Grudge earlier. The movie was sooo scary, like dig yourself into the couch to hide from the screen scary. At one point I was screaming at Alan to turn down the tv because I couldn’t stand the noise.

When we got home I was freaked out. I couldn’t fall asleep. I was so freaked out I even debated whether I wanted to go to the site to get a picture of the movie poster. I finally ended up muting my computer before I ventured over there. The trailer itself I didn’t find that super creepy when I saw it in the theater. I just thought oooh I think we’ll watch that. But now after watching the movie I don’t even want to see the trailer again because I’m just that scared. Alan says I’m just a big chicken. And yes I am. I have a very active imagination and scary movies well…scare me.

Mail isn’t fun. It’s usually bills. But once in a while it’s a gift. I just love those kinds of surprises in the mail!

Helen got me toys. A little skater guy that has “I wanna be X treme” on his shoes and a girl in a bikini that says “I wanna be on vacation”

and a coloring book. ha ha ha ha! :)

Why?

I don’t know why I insist on watching things that freak me out. It’s 2 am in the morning. Alan and the dogs are asleep yet I would be awake watching something that will keep me up until the sun rises, that will have me jumping at every single sound in the house and have me turning to look over my shoulder. Why do things like this scare me so easily? Maybe because I have an open mind. I believe in things that I can’t see because of things I have seen. But no more talk about that. It’s late and I’m the only one awake. Maybe another day.

I’ve started knitting the french market bag. I started my test swatch that night while watching The Grudge 2.

Circular Needles

I was reading Knitting With Mom and Joji mentions that she’s never used circular needles before. When I started knitting that’s all I used. That’s what I originally learned on, in fact. And I didn’t use straight needles until many months after I learned to knit. Now I’m so accustomed to them that even when I’m using straight needles I have the urge to drop the needle after I’m done with a row. That’s because I’m used to it being connected. That does not work well with straight needles at all. It must make me look like a klutz dropping the needle after each row.
