I have an obsession for ottomans. I love ottomans. Whenever we’re in a store and I see an ottoman Alan has to steer me away. I think we’ve purchased five ottomans for the living room. FIVE!

The first two were beanie type things that were supposed to be cubes.

They were useless after being sat upon a dozen times. They were just worn out and sat there looking sad, little, unplumped, and pathetic. We dumped those.

Then we bought some round foam ones that have this lovely golden color. They were very nice and soft to sit on at first. But there wasn’t any support so now, after how many uses, sitting on them is very unsatisfying. They just squoosh down unevenly and you end up sitting all lopsided.

Finally we got a green one at Ikea. It’s wonderful. It’s nice and firm and there’s even storage underneath it. Now my ottoman obsession has been somewhat slaked. I still have to be steered away but I haven’t bought any new ones since we got the one from Ikea. But we only have that one nice one so…I think it’s time to buy another one!
