Alan needed to get frozen rats or something else equally sad and disgusting. So we went to the East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley. Alan always prefers to go there. He used to work there so he knows his creepy crawly stuff. It looks so different now. They have a mural painted out front. They didn’t have that there when Alan used to work there. It looks nice.

On our way home from the Vivarium we stopped by Barnes and Nobles. I knew it was a mistake. I knew I would buy something. And of course I did. I bought The First-Time Gardener by Jonathan Edwards. As we were standing in line I said to Alan I should get this on Amazon, I know it’s going to be cheaper. But then the lady said next in line, we went to the counter, and I bought it. I just didn’t want to wait. I could kick myself. I’ve started reading it and it looks good so far, just what I was looking for. I’ll have to wait and see.
