I HATE ants!! HATE hate hate hate them with a passion. There are a couple of stray ants around. And one climbed onto my hand without my notice and then bit me. BIT me right on the flesh between my pinky finger and my ring finger on my right hand. An ant bite feels like a tiny little sharp sting. I looked down immediately when it bit me and grabbed the fu**** in between my thumb and finger and smooshed it. I HATE ANTS! How do I kill them without spraying noxious smelly shit that will be harmful to the dogs? I hate Raid and that stuff because it stinks and makes me more irritable then when I see those damn ants.

Such A Fun Day

I’ve had such a fun busy day today. We didn’t wake up as early as we would have liked. Alan set the alarm for 9:30 am and when it started beeping this morning he promptly turned it off. So we didn’t wake up until around 11:00 am. Then we spent a good couple of hours cuddling and watching the Olympics. When we did get up Alan brought me to the store to buy needles, to the library to borrow books, and to a lamp store to…that’s right…look at lamps. We didn’t buy any because they were just too expensive.

Did you know that at the library they have machines with scanners to check out your books? We didn’t. We were so surprised. Alan and I were standing there trying to figure out where the check out desk had gone too. It took us a minute to realize the machines along the wall were for checking out books. Very cool.

Well after the needle buying, book borrowing, and lamp looking, we rushed home because Alan was expecting his paintball buddies, Matt and Jason. At home, I checked the mail and Helen had sent me something. Look at the funny envelope. :)

It’s Homer! And see the writing next to his butt says “Boooooooffffff” Hee heee hee. And inside the funny envelope were fun toys. Thank you Helen!

Simpson Pez and whoopie cushions. I tried to hide the whoopie cushions from Alan because I wanted to use them on him but he saw them. Oh well.

When Alan’s friends arrived, Matt fiddled with his gun for a while, a long long while, and then we headed up to Vince’s house to wait for more friends. While we waited I started knitting the teddy bear.

When Kevin and Stephanie arrived we went out and got some food at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. The food was yummy. I had something delicious called the Lau-Lau Plate which is pork wrapped in layers of taro leaves. It was so good. I wish there was one close to us. I’ve never been there before and I would like to go again but I don’t want to drive all the way to Vallejo for it. Oooh..I just looked them up online. They have one in Pleasant Hill. That’s a reasonable drive.

Well anyhoo…Vince has a little dog. It’s so cute and small and looks just like a puppy. It must weight like 5 pounds.

It’s protective as hell. Alan walked by it and it snapped at Alan. It grabbed a hold of Alan’s pant leg and did the little death shake. It must have nipped at least 2 more times. Once at Jason and once at Matt. Cute mean little thing.

Well after I happily stuffed myself full of yummy food I continued my knitting while chatting with Stephanie while the guys sat around for a long long long time playing with their toys.

Towards the end of the night I showed Stephanie how to knit while watching Return of the King. We finally got home close to midnight. It’s been a long fun busy day.
